The”mini-shoot” format for the workshop with Denisa consisted of three one hour sets, where each photographer will had the opportunity to photograph the model with the following art nude concepts:
1) Abstract shapes including bodyscapes
2) Sensual and intimate
3) Fashion, partial nude, partially clothed
The location, set and lighting for each set were be determined in advance, but individual photographers will had the opportunity to make some adjustments to each set to suit their personal preferences and provide artistic direction to the model.
The location for the workshop was our Cattail Studio location, on the Chesapeake Bay, with 2 acres of private land, and interior sets that include Mid-Centry, Victorian, and Chesapeake Bay furnishings. There is also a fully equipped studio with seamless paper and Hensel lights.
Our first shoot with Feature Art Nude Model Jaime Lee!
Using our "mini-shoot" format, each photographer will had two 20 minute sessions during which they will directed the model. Photographers were also able to see and shoot the ideas and lighting setups used by the other photographers in the mini-shoot. By the end of the workshop each photographer had 6 to 8 different lighting/concepts. Paulo was available to suggest themes for photographers, using alternative lighting, angles and poses for the model.
Our model for the workshop was be Jaime Lee, who is making her first visit to Cattail Studio. Jaime has beautiful skin, long brown hair, and a sculptured figure. She has a great portfolio and we were excited to have her for her first visit to Cattail Studio!

We had a last minute visit from Domiis, and I thought it would be a good opportunity to try out the concept of a “Mirrors” workshop at Cattail Studio. . Domiis has beautiful skin, long brown hair, and a lots of curves!

The format for the workshop with Nicky was a "mini-shoot." For photographers who are familiar with studio lighting and shooting models, this was an opportunity to meet and direct the model. Photographers took turns "directing" the model, and helping set up each mini-shoot, and as a result, have the opportunity to shoot 6 different scenes with the model. For less experienced photographers, this is a great way to see how other photographers work with a model. Paulo will be assisted with lighting and posing.

Our first summer 2018 Carriage House Studio workshop explored the rural heritage of the Mid-Atlantic as the setting for fine art nude photography. The workshop was held in a rustic rural setting, featuring an historic farmhouse built between 1750 and 1850, a barn, and 30 acres of adjoining fields and country roads. We discussed how to shot art nudes in a rustic, rural environment, using available light and fill flash. Our model for this workshop was visiting model Peach Kennedy...Peach is an world traveller, has modeled for our workshops before, and it's great to have her back for "The Rustic Nude!"
